ACID BASED RUST STAIN REMOVER
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A fast acting highly efficient rust stain remover for use on fishing boats, cars, bikes, tools etc.
a metal cleaning product for use on steel, iron, cast iron and other ferrous metals. It is particularly effective at removing corrosion staining on stainless steel.
On Steel and ironwork, where rust has accumulated, Rust Rid can be used prior to painting to take the rusted surface back to base metal.
On Stainless Steel, Rust Rid removes the ferrous oxide scale and “pickles” the stainless steel surface bringing it back to original “stainless” surface.
Will NOT arm most painted surfaces, although advisable to test a small unseen area before complete use.
DIRECTIONS
Do not dilute. Use at the received concentration.
Brush or wipe on with a cloth, spray or paint on effected surfaces from bottom to top.
Allow to work for up to 2 hours, rinse with fresh water then wash with a neutral detergent before undercoating and top coating for longer protection.
If the surface is greasy or dirty, which is often the source of the corrosion; use a scrubbing brush or plastic scouring pad to work the Rust Rid under the deposit. For very bad corrosion you may need more than one application.
On Stainless a good polish afterwards will help to keep the surface free of future corrosion.
Do not scratch the stainless surface, as this will promote future corrosion problems.
Rust Rid can be used as part of a preventative maintenance program. Wash all stainless with 100ml/L, dry and polish with a soft cloth.
